Reviewing, Approving and Disputing Timesheets

Please be sure to review, approve or dispute timesheets within 48 hours of shift end times.  After 48 hours, undisputed timesheets will be auto-approved.

Ideal Policies:

  • Workers are required to clock in prior to their assigned shift's start time using the Ideal mobile app and clock out upon shift end. Workers will be paid to the minute based on approved timesheets.
  • If a clock out is not recorded, Idealists will be auto clocked out after 3 hours of their shift end time & their timesheet would reflect the shift's original end time. Ideal workers will also be responsible for submitting timesheet disputes.

See below on how view timesheets and submit a dispute:

  1. Access timesheets: From any screen select "Timesheets"

  2. You can approve or dispute worker timesheets using the "approve" or "dispute" buttons on the "Ready for Review" dashboard.

    • To view shift details or dispute the recorded time, click the dropdown menu and choose desired action

    • Selecting "Shift Detail" will display the scheduled shift alongside the actual clock-in and clock-out times.

3. Submit a dispute :

    • If you disagree with the hours recorded and select "Dispute" a text box will appear. Please provide a reason and select "Submit Dispute"

    • All disputed timesheets will move to "Pending" status while the Ideal support and employment teams conduct an investigation and present a resolution. They will share this resolution and any applicable adjustments via email (customersupport@ideal.com)
    • After the disputed timesheets have been adjusted by the Ideal support team, it will be moved to "approved" status and included in your Ideal weekly invoice.
